Overview of Upcoming MPVs

The MPV market is about to welcome several new entrants shortly. This month, three distinct MPVs are expected to debut, each catering to different budget segments. If you're in search of a practical vehicle that offers ample seating for family trips, these upcoming models might be just what you need.

KIA Carens EV

KIA has recently introduced the Carens Clavis in India and is now preparing to launch its electric variant. The unveiling of the Clavis EV is scheduled for July 15, with pricing details to follow soon after. This new model will feature a refreshed front design and updated rims. Notable features will include a panoramic sunroof, dual 12.3-inch displays, automatic climate control, and ventilated seating.

The Carens Clavis EV will be equipped with a 51.4 kWh battery, promising a range of 490 km. The anticipated launch price is around Rs 18 lakh.

Renault Triber Facelift

Renault is set to unveil a facelifted version of its entry-level MPV, the Triber, on July 23, 2025. This marks the first significant upgrade for the model, bringing both interior and exterior enhancements. While the overall silhouette will remain unchanged, the vehicle will feature a redesigned front end. Inside, expect new upholstery, automatic climate control, and a variety of updated features. Additionally, Renault is planning to introduce a completely new Duster and a potential 7-seater SUV named BOREAL.

MG M9

The MG M9 is an electric luxury MPV that sits between the Toyota Vellfire and the Kia Carnival in terms of size. It will be longer than the Innova Hycross, making it a strong competitor against pricier MPVs aimed at consumers who appreciate luxury features like captain seats. The M9 will also include practical third-row seating. It is expected to be priced around Rs 70 lakh and will be powered by a front-mounted motor delivering approximately 245 PS and 350 Nm of torque, supported by a 90 kWh battery. The vehicle will offer a WLTP range of 430 km.
